Welcome to the 16th annual Baltimore on the Prairie applique conference. An internationally renowned faculty has been assembled to share with you their techniques and knowledge of hand applique in general and of the Baltimore Album style. Please read all the registration details as it will help answer any questions you might have related to the registration form. Of course, please contact me if you have any questions.

Lied Lodge and Conference Center is the home for Baltimore on the Prairie, located in Nebraska City, NE. Two hundred and sixty acres beckons with orchards, walking trails and serenity. Every detail in design and decor reflects a commitment to the comfort and care of all the guests and to the natural environment we all share. The Lodge, Conference Center and Timber Dining Room all offer ingredients for relaxation and of course, applique.

2025 Registration:

A $200 deposit is fully refundable prior to March 1, 2025.

Lied Lodge is fully handicap accessible. Please indicate if you would like to request a handicap accessible guest room.

Please make note if you would like to request adjoining rooms with a friend or would like to be near other friends. Requests will be made with Lied Lodge but can not be guaranteed.

Conference Classes:
​

Both Sessions are 2 days in length.
-
Session A is Wed & Thurs, Sept 3 and 4, 2025.
-
Session B is Fri & Sat, Sept 5 and 6, 2025.
-
Classes are from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm with lunch break from 11:30 pm - 1:30 pm.

Registration Costs:
​

Registration fee is nearly all inclusive; it does not include any evening meals nor breakfast on Sunday.
-
Registration includes classes, lodging, breakfasts (except for Local registrants), lunches and gratuities for the meals.

Registration may be for Session A, Session B or the Conference Package which includes Sessions A and B.
-
Fees are based on double or single occupancy or local where lodging is not necessary.

Session A only - Sept 3 & 4 - Local, no lodging - includes 2 lunches. Does Not Include Breakfast.
-
Session A only - Sept 3 & 4 - includes 2 nights lodging (Sept 5 & 6), 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches.

Session B only - Sept 5 & 6 - Local, no lodging - includes 2 lunches. Does Not Include Breakfast.

Session B only - Sept 5 & 6 - includes 3 nights lodging (Sept 5-8), 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches.

Conference Package - Sessions A & B - Sept 4-7 - Local, no lodging - includes 4 lunches. Does Not Include Breakfast.

Conference Package - Sessions A & B - Sept 4-7 - includes 5 nights lodging (Sept 2-6), 4 breakfasts and 4 lunches.

Adjustments regarding number of meals or nights of lodging can be requested by contacting the Administrator.

Spouses and guests are very welcome at the conference. Contact the Administrator for costs.

Additional Costs:

Teachers may have a required class or lab fee to cover printing costs or other materials for class and are listed on the supply lists.
-
Teachers may offer kits with cost listed on the supply list.
-
Any extra fees are paid directly to the teacher unless otherwise noted.

Kits must be ordered through the teacher by August 1, 2025.

Meals:

Breakfast and lunch meals will be buffets served in the General Meeting Room, Lower Level.
-
Tips are included in your registration fee.
-
Evening meals and Sunday breakfast will be self-pay. The Timber Dining Room and the Library Lounge at Lied Lodge will be open for evening meals and Sunday breakfast Reservations are Recommended for the Timber Dining Room. At Timber Dining Room and the Library Lounge located in Lied Lodge, for groups of 6 or more, there is a mandatory 25% gratuity per person. Menus from local restaurants will be available at the BOTP registration table. Ride sharing to local restaurants will be available for those attendees who do not have vehicles.

Lodging:

Most guest rooms have 2 Queen beds.

Handicap accessible guest rooms are available.

Free wireless internet is available throughout the entire facility.

A blow dryer, coffee maker and refrigerator are in each guest room.

Complimentary morning coffee is available in the lobby.
-
Connecting guest rooms or grouping of guest rooms can be requested by contacting the Administrator.

Lodging requests are made to the reservation staff at Lied Lodge but cannot be guaranteed by
Baltimore on the Prairie.

Transportation:

Parking is free at Lied Lodge.
-
Lied Lodge offers shuttle service to and from Omaha's Epply Airfield airport and the Lincoln airport.

Cost of shuttle is $85 plus tax, one way. (Subject to change by Lied Lodge.)

Shuttle reservations should be made at least 7 days in advance by calling Lied Lodge -

Lied Lodge is approximately 50 miles south of the Omaha airport.

The Omaha airport serves most major airlines.

Payment Information:

A $200 deposit is required at the time of registering.

The remaining balance of the registration fee is due June 1, 2025.

If registering after June 1, 2025, the entire registration fee is required.

If desired, payments may be made throughout the year. Contact Administrator for details.

Cancellation Policy:
​
-
Cancellations must be made in writing or through email.
-
The full deposit will be refunded prior to March 1, 2025.
-
$100 of the deposit will be refunded between March 1 and June 1, 2025.
-
No refunds will be issued after June 1, 2025.
-
Registrations may be transferred.
-
There will be a $25 transfer fee for any registrations that are transferred.

Advance Registration:​
​

Faculty and class projects for 2025 are announced the last night of the 2024 conference.
-
2024 attendees are offered first opportunity to register for the 2025 conference.
​
Class Assignments:
​
-
For those with advance registration, registration forms are shuffled, blindly drawn and class choices recorded in order drawn.
-
Following advance registrations, classes are assigned in the order in which they are received.
-
Confirmation of registration and class assignments will be sent via snail mail within a month of being received.

Payment Options:

Payment may be made by check, cash, money order or credit card.
-
To pay by check or money order, click on the Registration tab, print the form, fill out, enclose the deposit and mail.

If paying with a credit card by phone, have your registration form information available and call Tresa Jones at 785-294-0625. A form will be filled out for you and your credit card information will be taken.
-
To be billed by invoice, either mail or scan and email a completed registration form to Tresa Jones at mjones1@carsoncomm.com. An invoice will be created and emailed through QuickBook that will include a "view and pay invoice" button which will lead you to a secure form to enter your credit card information.

Checks may be made out to either Tresa Jones or Baltimore on the Prairie.
